 Tom Gaither

Based in Northern Kentucky, Tom Gaither became interested in watercolor twenty years ago and although he has no formal art education it's misleading to say that he's self-taught.

"I wanted to be a watercolorist and to that end I read everything I could find about the media. Most of my instruction came from friends who just happened to be some of the country's best painters."

Tom began his career in 1974 with pen-and-ink, and still enjoys it, but watercolor is, by far, his favorite medium. He has mixed the two art forms successfully to produce art prints for the University of Kentucky, Ohio State University, Thomas More College, Bowling Green

University, Miami University, Northern Kentucky University, Chase College of Law, the U.S. Postal Service, high schools, cities and corporations.

His prints have been used as fundraisers for the Taft Museum, the Cincinnati Bicentennial Committee, the Northern Kentucky Childrens Home, St. Elizabeth Hospital, the Railroad Exposition, the American Cancer Society, the National Olympic Committee, and many, many more.

Tom's prints and originals are in private, public and corporate collections nationally.
